Carriers in the history of Aurelia

so Emmeria wasn’t last as I decided to do the Aurelian carrier fleet, the Federal Republic Of Aurelia the nation who is our latest war participant but its carrier force is a lot smaller than I’d expect it to be so this will be a short one well let’s rock and roll.

We start in the 1950s with Aurelia operating a single Colossus-class light aircraft carrier which served through the 1960s where it was joined by another Colossus-class light aircraft carrier but the first was decommissioned in 1970 while the Colossus-class light aircraft carrier served throughout the rest of the 70s all of the 80s and 90s until retirement in 97.

Sometime between 2000 and the Lighthouse war of 2019 Aurelia’s navy obtained three Kitty-Hawk class aircraft carriers likely bought from the Osea during their restructuring or where built by them but in 2020 Aurelia only had a lone Kitty-Hawk class aircraft carrier who’s fate isn’t very clear but where did the other two go?

Well somehow between 2010 and 2019 Leasath likely captured two Aurelian Navy’s Kitty-Hawk class aircraft carriers along with multiple Aurelian Navy vessels which included one Iowa class battleship, one La Fayette class frigate converted into a command ship, five Ticonderoga class aegis cruisers, seven Hatakaze class destroyers, five Cassard class frigates, two Pegasus class missile boat, nine San Giorgio class landing ships, one Towada class supply ship which were sunk during the war with the bulk of the captured sunk during the battle of the Danern Straits. Leasath also captured nine commercial container ships which Aurelians also sank.

So where do I see Aurelia taking its carrier fleet well I can see Aurelia being sold Osea’s Enterprise class aircraft carrier to replace their two lost Kitty-Hawks.

so this is the end of this series I just figured a bonus would be nice

Emmerian aircraft carriers through the ages

In the final post of my aircraft carriers through time series

The Republic of Emmeria the nation that fought in a conflict they likely weren’t expecting to be in but still won but like Yuketobania and other nations haven’t been operating carriers as long as North Point or Osea so let’s get started

we begin in the 1940s where I really have to suspect there must have been some kind of global conflict as the Emmerian Navy had a large number of surface ships and submarines which makes me wonder if Emmeria had global superpower ambitions at the time but somehow got crushed.

But I’m only focusing on the aircraft carriers which at this time were five classes made up of Aquila class and Sparviero class aircraft carriers which like most of the earliest aircraft carriers were conversions of other ships such as in Emmeria’s case two ocean liners but Emmeria also had Colossus class and Majestic class light aircraft carriers and Ruler class escort aircraft carriers

As we come to the 1950s the fleet had been reduced to light aircraft carriers the Colossus class and Majestic class light aircraft carriers although when the sixties came by they only had the Colossus class and the Majestic class light aircraft carriers had been decommissioned leaving the Majestic class light aircraft carrier which was retired in 1970 then for the next 15 years Emmeria had no aircraft carriers until 1985 when the Emmerian made Giuseppe Garibaldi class light aircraft carrier was commissioned which was the only carrier in the Emmerian fleet throughout the 1990s until 2004 when the fleet rose to 2 carriers with a single Cavour class light aircraft carrier coming into service.

At some point before the Emmerian-Estovakian War of 2015-2016 Emmeria acquired a Nimitz class aircraft carrier bringing their fleet to three carrier however its up for debate if they had it built for them by their arms supplier Macmillan Heavy Industries or they bought one from Osea in the years before the Emmerian-Estovakian War and assuming all thee class of carrier ships survived the war this would be the fleet they have currently but the Giuseppe Garibaldi class light aircraft carrier scheduled to be replaced in 2022 by a single Trieste class helicopter carrier which will reduce the fleet to two class of carriers

so I hope you all enjoyed this series which I’m a bit sad to see end as Sapin only has three carriers and the Nordlands only a single class of aircraft carrier which sadly ain’t enough to justify a carriers through time post but Aurelia might get one as they’ve only operated four classes of aircraft carriers so I’ll think on it if to do one on Aurelia so watch this space

Erusean Navy carriers throughout the decades

Ahh the Kingdom of Erusea a nation who dreams big only to be crushed by the big players twice but as with other nations I’ve covered their carrier force has varied over the years n the level of Belka so let’s begin

we start Erusea’s carrier aviation in the 1920s with an incomplete normandie class dreadnought battleship converted into a normandie class aircraft carrier which remained their only carrier throughout the 1930s.

in the 40s Erusea really built up its fleet with joffre class aircraft carriers which if you’ve never heard of them, I don’t blame ya I doubt many have so time for a history lesson

The Joffre class aircraft carriers were aircraft carriers planned by the French in the 1930s which solved some problems that normandie class aircraft carrier had such as its aircraft elevators not reaching the hangar deck but the carriers were never finished as ww2 slowed the build and ultimately cancelled by the Nazis when France fell to them in 1940.

However that was real life, in strangereal however given there was some kind of conflict in the 40s of a scale which is unknown than I think Erusea would’ve build them to bolster its naval supremacy against its probable rival North Point who’s carrier force was 0.13 times larger while the rest of the fleet was made up of the Normandie class aircraft carrier and a North Point merchant ship converted into an avenger-class escort aircraft carrier.

As the 50s came to greet us the Erusean navy’s carrier force stayed about the same but changed heavily as the Joffre class aircraft carriers were either sunk during the 40s or survived to be scrapped and replaced by a Verdun class aircraft carrier so time for your 2nd history lesson

The Verdun class was a proposed aircraft carrier under development by France in 1950s for the nuclear strike role as the Clemenceau class aircraft carriers were due to enter service in 1961, according to the specs I found.

The ship would have displaced 45,000 tons with a length of 860 feet and width of 112 feet putting it at an equal tonnage to the US Midway class carriers and the UK cancelled Malta class carriers, her propulsion would have been steam turbines with 4 shafts generating 200,000 shaft horsepower giving her a speed of 33 knots equal to those other 2 carriers I mentioned but her air defense armament would have been made of two masurca surface to air missile batteries and four 3.9 inch dual-purpose guns. The ship was ultimately cancelled in 1961 with the Clemenceau class taking over the role it was designed to do.

In Strangereal Erusea seeing Osea’s Midway class and North Point’s Malta class carriers built the Verdun class to compete so Erusea could challenge North Point for control of the Usean continent.

The rest of the fleet was made up of an ageing Normandie class aircraft carrier and 2 ex-Osean Navy independence class light aircraft carriers.

As the 1960s came in Erusea fleet grew to 6 carriers with the 1 verdun class and the brand new clemenceau class aircraft carriers while the light carrier fleet gained a colossus class light aircraft carrier to replace the obsolete Normandie class aircraft carrier alongside the independence class light aircraft carrier.

we come to 1970s where the Erusean carrier fleet was cut in half with the retirement of the light carrier fleet leaving the verdun class and clemenceau class aircraft carrier which remained throughout the 80s until we come to the 90s

Erusea’s 1990s carrier force grew to four ships consisting of its verdun class, clemenceau class and its new nuclear powered charles de gaulle class aircraft carrier which probably got involved in Usean rebellion and then the Ulysses disaster but things were to change

As the first decade of the 21st century Erusea had likely retired their verdun class and clemenceau class carriers and obtained an osean kitty-hawk class aircraft carriers but when the continental war broke out the verdun and clemenceau class aircraft carriers would have been recommissioned and if they weren’t sunk in the war then would likely get impounded by ISAF then when returned to Erusea they were likely sold for scrap as for charles de gaulle class carrier I suspect it wasn’t returned for years.

We come to 2010s and the Lighthouse War and during the proceeding years Erusea had been rebuilding its fleet with a single admiral kuznetzov class and the charles de gaulle class aircraft carrier although the Kuznetzov carrier the Njord got sunk at snider’s top by an Osean air strike.

We move to our present decade of the 2020s and despite getting it butt handed to it and taking major damage has the charles de gaulle class aircraft carrier as the flagship although given its age of 34 years and the expensive cost of operating a nuclear carrier I think Erusea will decommission the charles de gaulle class aircraft carrier within the next few years and replace it with a single PA2 carrier or as I dub it the Queen Rosanna D’Elise class aircraft carrier, I already explained this ship so i’ll link my Erusean navy 2021 post in this so you can go read that instead

My Erusean Navy – 2021

the final ship in the Erusean navy carrier fleet is a single mistral class helicopter carrier converted into a light aircraft carrier but I explained that in the erusean navy 2021 post so the Erusean navy’s fleet was interesting to look through with some interesting ships they had but alas it wasn’t enough to secure their goal of hegemony over Usea.

Belka aircraft carriers through time

so after doing the superpowers and North Point which for some reason is inappropriate on the sub-reddit for some reason of which I have no clue so I thought I’d move to Belka the country who fought a war 25 years ago and become an overused meme

I had to rely on scars of Ulysses for carrier information of the 1990s

We start in the 1910s with Belka’s first aircraft carrier the I-class aircraft carrier which was a converted emmerian passenger ship which was scrapped in the 20s.

We come to the 1940s where Belka rapidly grew its navy carrier force with carrier ships made of graf zeppelin class aircraft carrier, passenger ships converted into a jade class aircraft carrier , admiral hipper class cruiser into weser class aircraft carrier, a belkan ocean liner converted into an I-class aircraft carrier and an incomplete erusean cruiser converted into a II-class aircraft carrier.

I shouldn’t be surprised but i suspect Belka bought u-boat attack submarines over surface ships

I wonder if Belka lost this possible 1940s conflict as Osea had more carriers than them but moving on to the 1950s Belka replaced their obsolete carriers with Njord class aircraft carrier which following how carriers are named irl with the first being a name of a class so the Njord is the lead ship of the Njord class aircraft carriers which served until 1995 when it was sunk during the battle of Futuro Canal but where do I see the Belkan carrier fleet going in the future

honestly I have no clue as Belka likely has been under something like the Treaty of Versailles that heavily limits the belkan military for the past 25 years

anyway that’s all for Belka gotta say I’m disappointed for a nation who deployed nukes and the first use of ICBMs I was expecting much more from them

North Point Carriers Through Time

So I’ve done the global superpowers but I figured maybe let’s focus on a different nation like North Point who may have been a global superpower in the past but rising powers and time diminished North Point’s greatness to what it is today.

I am of course using my nation’s history here as it had the largest empire the world will ever see starting in either the 1490s or 1600s and at its peak in 1922 had 458 million people under its rule and covered a quarter of the earth’s land but enough about that let’s move on to the ships as some of these might surprise you as North Point has been operating carriers for over a century so let’s begin

we’ll start at the beginning with the 1910s where North Point had Argus class aircraft carrier itself a converted ocean passenger liner although converted form other ships was common as Osea’s first carrier fleet was a converted Proteus class collier ships and now we head to the roaring 20s.

In the 20s North Point grew its carrier fleet to two carrier class ships with its existing 1 Argus class aircraft carrier and added Courageous class aircraft carriers which had been battlecruisers although if I do Erusea at some point I think North Point was the top dog in Usean back in the day.

Anyway let’s move on to the 30s where North Point added another carrier bring their total to four with their Argus class aircraft carrier, Courageous class aircraft carrier and Eagle class aircraft carrier but the largest fleet increase is still to come like with Osea around this time.

We move to the 1940s which I seriously wonder if there wasn’t some kind of global strangereal world war as the North carrier fleet jumped from 4 to 10 with the already built Argus class aircraft carrier, Courageous class aircraft carrier and Eagle class and Implacable class aircraft carriers but now with Hermes class, Ark Royal class, Unicorn class, Illustrious class aircraft carriers and Colossus-class and Majestic class light aircraft carriers.

As we move into the 1950s

North Point’s fleet had been reduced as carriers had either been sunk or scrapped but the fleet was made up of surviving ships such as the Unicorn class, Illustrious class, Implacable class aircraft carrier and Malta class aircraft carriers but before I come to the light carrier I best explain what the Malta class were.

The Malta class was a proposed large aircraft carrier design during WW2 that were equal to the USA’s midway class however changing priorities, poor timing and the war leaving my country all but bankrupt after the war caused the cancellation of the ships but in Strangereal however I could see North Point building them in the 1940s then upgrading them like Osea with its midway class ships.

The light aircraft carrier fleet was made up of Colossus-class light aircraft carriers as two had been sold on with one going to Erusea and the Nordlands with another being loaned to Emmeria who returned it to North Point who sold it to the Aurelian Navy who used it until it was scrapped in 1999. The remaining light carriers were Majestic class and Centaur class light aircraft carrier.

As we reach what was the end of my nation’s empire years of the swinging sixties, the carrier force had shrunk to the Unicorn class, Illustrious class, Implacable class aircraft carriers along with 5 Colossus-class and Majestic class light aircraft carriers had been retired and replaced by newer more advanced ships.

North Point’s fleet in the 1960s consisted of Malta class and Audacious class aircraft carriers along with Colossus-class, Majestic class and Centaur class light aircraft carriers but the winds of change had more to come.

The 70s came and North Point had retired its last Colossus-class and Majestic class light carriers with that being sold to Strangereal’s India and Centaur which brought their fleet down that at the time was made up of Malta class and Audacious class aircraft carriers and Centaur class light aircraft carriers but the newest additions were the Queen Victoria class aircraft carrier.

The Queen Victoria class is my fanon name for the cancelled CVA-01 Aircraft carrier project but I have a post explaining in a bit more detail about this ship which I’ll link to below

CVA-01 aircraft carrier

As the 1980s rolled around the North Point carrier fleet continued shrinking with the Audacious class aircraft carriers and more than half of the Centaur class light aircraft carriers being withdrawn, all Audacious class aircraft carriers and Centaur class light aircraft carriers withdrawn being scrapped with one being sold to whatever Strangereal’s version of India is.

The fleet at this time were the Malta class and Queen Victoria class aircraft carriers with the light aircraft carrier fleet had Centaur class and Invincible class light aircraft carriers.

Now we come to the 1990s where North Point may have likely being involved in the Usean Rebellion but at this point the North Point fleet shrank to few carriers which I’ve already mentioned but I have to for each decade. They were Malta class aircraft carrier, Queen Victoria class aircraft carrier and Invincible class light aircraft carrier.

We come to the present century after Ulysses where North Point’s carrier fleet had stayed with the Malta class aircraft carrier and Queen Victoria class aircraft carrier and Invincible class light aircraft carrier however as you can guess around this period there was the 1st Continental war but more how on that affected the fleet shortly

but before I do, I bet you’ve got a question what happened to the Malta class aircraft carriers and both remaining centaur class light aircraft carriers well as North Point was seized during the Usean Rebellion you could say these ships were either sunk during the fighting to capture North Point or seized by the rebels and sunk by the Usean Allied forces.

We come to a decade just gone and North Point navy carrier force now reduces once again down to Queen Victoria class aircraft carrier and Invincible class light aircraft carriers.

Remember how I said this a moment ago ‘this period there was the 1st Continental war’ I think the Malta class aircraft carriers and one of the Invincible class light aircraft carrier were sunk by the Eruseans during the war.

Now we come to the Present where the fleet has gone down as the Invincible class ships have gone and been replaced by newer ships so the North Point Royal Navy carrier fleet is built from Queen Victoria class and Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carriers.

So where do I see North Point’s carrier fleet looking like in the future well as Queen Victoria class come to the end of their lives they’ll likely be replaced by the Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carriers.

So that was North Point’s carriers and maybe I’ll do the Eruseans or Emmerians

Yuketobanian Carriers Through Time

Since I covered Osea previously I figured I should have their superpower rival Yuketobania whose only been operating carriers for 4 and half decades which is less than half of how long Osean has been doing carrier aviation.

I’ll start at the 1970s as the Mosaka class was a helicopter carrier so doesn’t count as an aircraft carrier.

The Yuketobanian Navy in 1970s had 3 Kiev class aircraft carriers which is 8.6 times than the Osean navy at the same time.

As the Osea-Yuketobania cold war set in 1980s with the Yuketobanian carrier force more than doubled to 7 ships which were 4 Kiev class aircraft carrier and 3 Admiral Kuznetzov class aircraft carriers.

Now we come to the Belkan War of 1995 from Ace Combat 0, the Yuketobanian Navy’s carrier force reached its peak at 9 ships which is 23 times smaller than Osea’s carrier force was when it was at its peak but Yuketobania had more carriers than Osea did at this time period, their fleet consisted of 4 Kiev class aircraft carrier, 3 Admiral Kuznetzov class aircraft carrier and 2 Ulyanovsk class aircraft carriers which were Yuketobania’s answer to the Osean Nimitz

we move to 2010’s Circum-Pacific War in Ace Combat 5 where the Yuketobanian Navy had reduced its carrier force down to 2 Ulyanovsk class aircraft carrier and 3 Admiral Kuznetzov class aircraft carriers the YNS Admiral Bashev, Admiral Moleva and Admiral Tsanev however Admiral Tsanev got sunk in Operation Glory Horn.

after the war ended what would the fleet look like now a decade later well its very likely that they’d still have in the 2020s their fleet would be half the size of Osea’s current carrier force with 2 Ulyanovsk class and the 2 Admiral Kuznetzov class aircraft carriers the YNS Admiral Bashev and Admiral Moleva

but where do I see the Yuketobanian Navy in the future well as the ageing 2 Ulyanovsk class and Admiral Kuznetzov class aircraft carriers are nearing the end of their service lives with the project 23000e or likely named Shtorm class aircraft carrier and a conventional powered carrier version of the Shtorm class aircraft carrier and a multi-purpose light aircraft carrier although its unknown at this time how many are planned
