I found these models of 2 British Mach 3 capable spy planes
The Avro 730 apparently called the Vigilant
The Avro 730 was a proposed British supersonic reconnaissance and bomber aircraft designed in the 1950s with a crew of 3 and was powered by eight 9700ib Armstrong Siddeley P.176 Turbojets with afterburner totalling 77,600ibs in total which gave a cruising speed of Mach 2.5 and a max speed of Mach 3 with a range of 5754 miles and an altitude limit of 66,400 feet.
This aircraft is a weird one as it had only side windows and instead of a forward canopy there was a tv screen and two retractable periscopes (that is not a joke) as this aircraft may have the crew laying down on the job quite literally turns out the Avro 730 had side by side seats
sadly the plane was cancelled in 1959.
The UK’s 2nd equal to the SR.71 is the English Electric P.10
The English Electric P.10 was an alternative to the Avro 730 which was a Mach 3 Reconnaissance aircraft powered by 2 unknown turbojets in the wing-root and with what like 5 ramjets sadly it was considered too advanced and cancelled
These models look very good for Mach 3 reconnaissance planes to rival the US SR-71A Blackbird although it was probably a good idea to cancel them as they wouldn’t be have been ecomonic
So what do you think of these UK attempt to make an aircraft equal to the SR-71 Blackbirds but there were others but I couldn’t find enough information for them.
